Currently, The Art of Elysium services approximately 350 children each month. We provide weekly programs at the following hospitals: All Saint’s Healthcare Center, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, City of Hope, Harbor UCLA, Kaiser Permanent Sunset-Pediatrics, Lowman Special Education Center School, Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA, Shriner’s Hospital for Children Los Angeles, Women's and Children's Hospital at USC, Totally Kids Specialty Healthcare, Venice Family Clinic. Additionally, we provide workshops for the following organizations: Camp Heartland, Challenge Air for Kids & Friends, The Epilepsy Foundation, Lollipop Theater Network, Screen Actor’s Guild Foundation Teen Impact, We Can Pediatric Brain Tumor Network We would love for you to join! We are looking for individuals who are interested in helping The Art of Elysium transition from a local to a national organization. This is a very exciting time for us! We are growing incredibly quickly and we can utilize any and all skills you may have to offer. Help us promote an event. Work from home making press kits or thank you letters. Work in our offices. We will do our best to match your skills, interests and availability with our needs. We are looking for volunteers to help on each of our five teams: • Special Events • Fundraising • Administrative Support • Marketing/PR Outreach • Arts and Crafts Volunteers are required to attend a training and orientation session to learn more about the organization’s goals and needs, meet some of The Art of Elysium leadership, gain some specific tenacious communication skills and get answers to your burning questions. At the training/ orientation and immediately afterwards, we will help you identify the most effective volunteer role for you within one of the five teams listed above. All activities, whether highly visible or completely behind-the-scenes, directly impact the children and their families of The Art of Elysium and the quality of their experiences. Your contribution of time and resources is critical in helping us to refine our services for the children, build a strong foundation for The Art of Elysium and expand our programs in order to reach more young children across the nation. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU In joining The Art of Elysium, we ask you to commit to clear, frequent and tenacious communication with our leadership, other volunteers and our children. We have set a minimum time commitment for all volunteers of 4 hours per month, but we encourage you to contribute as much as you are able and willing. We ask all members to participate on one of our six volunteer teams. We know you have a busy life, and fitting this in can be challenging, but commit to give the minimum we ask, and we’re certain you’ll find it worthwhile! WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US We are a hard-working, enthusiastic, supportive, hearts-on-our-sleeves group. We will do our best to offer you a rewarding experience volunteering with The Art of Elysium.
