VOLUNTEER ARTISTS

The Art of Elysium allows children to be creative and explore a wide range of artistic mediums with the help of Volunteer Artists. Through The Art of Elysium Programs, volunteer artists have the opportunity to work with children, adolescents and families in both small and larger group settings for 90-120 minutes in various inpatient and outpatient medical environments.The Art of Elysium provides a wide range of fine and performing arts workshops and activities designed to:• Help children cope with the difficult emotional challenges of illness and hospitalization,• Promote opportunities for growth and development,• Encourage socialization,• Provide exposure to various artistic skills and disciplines.The Art of Elysium’s programs for hospitalized youth include Fine Arts, Fashion Design, Music, Media/Theatre Arts and Arts-Based Self-Esteem Programs.

VOLUNTEER ARTISTS ORIENTATIONS
Volunteer Artists for The Art of Elysium we ask that you begin your journey with us by attending a one-time mandatory Volunteer Artist Orientation.
The Orientation is developed specifically to educate and support Artists in providing fun, interactive workshops that allow children and teens to be creative and explore a wide range of artistic mediums.Through the training session you will also receive information regarding working with medically fragile children in the hospital environment.Each Volunteer Artist Orientation is developed specifically for Volunteers/Artists based upon your artistic talent and skills.

*Volunteers MUST be 18 years of age.

Below are the upcoming dates for our Los Angeles Volunteer Artist Orientations:

Monday, January 21st
5:00-7:00pm    5:00-7:00pm 
General Volunteer Artist Orientation
(Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Music, Theatre/Media Arts, Arts Based Self-Esteem)

All attendees must confirm by e-mail which orientation they will be attending.Friends are welcome however, you must RSVP on their behalf!
